STAFFSTACK Founder
Greater San Diego Area
Let's talk ideas.. always happy to be a sounding board if I can be of any value. Primary areas of business interest:
:: Wireless / Our flagship STAFFSTACK platform dynamically changes how commercial wireless networks are engineered. Benefiting Cellular Operators, Wireless Equipment Vendors, and engineers.
:: Offshore Staff Augmentation / 'VertuSoft' is your own virtual Dev Team
:: Software Dev / B2B & B2C software development services, web apps, mobile apps, and software development in general.
Currently providing overseas development teams to augment the in-house resources of US based businesses. These teams are very carefully screened and managed to meet customer specifications. Both maintaining quality control and costs can be extremely difficult when utilizing overseas teams.
Our advantage in this area is that we have our own offices offshore, with the technical tasks orchestrated by one of our co-founders, who is also the chief software architect based in San Diego.
The STAFFSTACK platform itself is specifically positioned for improving the engineering carried out on commercial wireless communications networks. STAFFSTACK addresses several key problem areas; efficiency, cost, quality control for wireless operators and equipment vendors. This in turn leads to better networks for end customers, with reduced customer churn for the operators themselves.
Bio:
While completing an engineering post-graduate degree in Liverpool I was introduced to the co-founders of Wireless Facilities Incorporated (WFI), a startup company with barely any employees. Upon graduating I immediately flew to New York to join this company, missing my graduation ceremony in the process.
WFI grew exponentially, changing the landscape of RF Engineering consulting for big telecom. They became a publicly traded company at the peak of the dot com boom, reaching a market cap of over $3 Billion.
That was an exciting time for me. Although I left WFI fairly early on, that experience set me on a path to start my first business. A boutique engineering consulting group, which generated close to $6 Million in revenue in just 5 years. That company was bootstrapped. I literally lived with cardboard boxes as furniture for 9 months until the first check came in.
I had to drag a cheap office desk from the Goodwill store across the street up to my apartment, where a guitar amp served as my office chair. At that desk I created all the early business processes and documents for what become over a million dollar a year business. I was 26 years old.
Since that time I have been involved with various projects and startups. Much of my focus has been for wireless equipment vendors, and cellular operators. More diverse experiences included; SBIR funded research for the Air Intelligence Agency, internet marketing, and later on even taking part in a television show.
Now my passion lies in two primary areas; 1) Building a technology platform to improve how wireless networks are engineered. 2) Developing overseas software teams to augment the in-house resources of US based businesses.
